Opportunities to Serve

Jesus calls us to serve

At the core of Jesus' ministry was His call to love one another.  We are to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind...Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37- 39).  Demonstrating the love of Jesus is at the heart of the Nehemiah Network.  The service of the Church is based on the words "Dear Children, let us stop saying we love each other, let us really show it by our actions" (1 John 3:18).

The Nehemiah Network supports the Church serving together in our community in many ways.  We seek to find how God is moving is our community and follow Him where he leads.  Through the years, we have done this for days, weeks or other Seasons of Service.  The Church has worked together under banners such as Sharefest, CityFest, Season of Service and other united acts of service to those in need.

One of the means by which the Nehemiah Network supports service is to help connect believers who desire to serve those in need in the community, as well as with opportunities to serve.  To learn more about how churches and ministries in Central Arkansas are connected through Meet the Need, and how you can connect, see Opportunities to Serve above.

In addition to Meet the Need connections, The Nehemiah Network helps coordinate local church mission and service outreach during three major seasons of service: Fall "Back to School" activities through a broad range of Church/School partnerships, Thanksgiving and Christmas support of families in need, and a Spring clean up and neighborhood revitalization effort.  To learn more about these and other service opportunities, search our EVENTS page, or contact the Nehemiah Network office.
